You're Never Too Broken For God

You're Never Too Broken For God

How many times have you asked yourself, why does God need me, I'm too broken? We get stuck thinking that when we're broken that we're undeserving of love. I want to stop you right there, this thinking does not come from God! Even if you feel like you are shattered to pieces, God sees it so much differently. God broke you away from the parts of yourself that weren't honoring him, to sculpt you into his masterpiece of salvation and redemption. However, God does not see you as broken, God sees broken pieces as stepping stones to him. God trembles us to shake the spirit of fear and renew it with the spirit of strength and faith.
God needs you and nothing is going to stop him from seeking you no matter how "broken" we are. We aren't really broken rather than just wounded, because when we break we can't get back up again. Wounds can take time to heal from but we can get back on our feet and fight on. Although another way to look at it is the stuff that breaks you can give God a chance to shape you, so it all depends on your perspective. If we all just sit around acting like we're broken then that just stops God from using it to strengthen you. It's okay to crumble and fall but you've got to get back up again. You have to allow yourself to allow God to use you. You have to allow yourself to get back up no matter how hard it hurts because God wants more for us than to sit in the broken pieces.
Going through hard times is rough and it can hurt you for a while. I understand this on a deep level, I've been hurt over and over. The way I see it is that if I hadn't gotten up and took God's hand than I wouldn't have the strength I have today. God puts you through hard stuff to cleanse you and shape you into Christ-likeness. I learned that if you don't give it to him you get stuck in darkness. Even when we've done things wrong that we hide from God it can damage our hearts. When our hearts are beating the rhythm of the devil's drum then we end up with heartache and anxiety. When we don't allow God to mend our broken hearts then we're stuck in place. God wants so much to just take your brokenness and make it whole.
Also, get out of your heart with the lies that you hear too. The lies telling you that you are too broken, too destroyed. These are big fat lies, there is nothing you have gone through that Jesus can't take upon himself. Jesus got hung on a cross, and beaten, thorned, nailed, killed, whipped, mocked, and more, but God still loved him. If God can resurrect Jesus from the deadliest death, he can resurrect you from the darkness. You have to surrender all of the brokenness and stop trying to fix yourself, cause duct tape can only stay on so long. Let Heavenly Father be the Glue that puts all the broken pieces into the best place. God gives you hard stuff so that you can have a story that glorifies how he pulled you out of the pit of despair and set you on a higher place.
God's love is unstoppable, and it can't be undone. You can say all day long that you're not loved but we all know God loves you unconditionally. You just have to get out of your lies and allow God to love you. You're not too broken to be unlovable, you're never too far gone for God to not be there for you. You have to allow yourself to give God permission to work in your life. Give God the pen so he can write your story. Being broken or wounded allows for salvation and restoration. We need to hit rock bottom because it tells us that we're not in control and we're not good at controlling our lives. Giving God control is freedom, it is peace. Stop holding onto and allow yourself to just be held by the father.
God isn't just a God that gives you sorrow and hardship. God wants us to experience his joys and love as well. He wants us to live a life full of Him. God also gives you the pain so that you can minister to others in similar circumstances. We need to be the ones who plant the seeds in other minds to grow in Jesus. We need people who love us like Jesus no matter our broken pieces. We need to be the people that the Godless need in times of trouble. We need to be so full of Jesus that it wants others to find out who he is. With all this said we also need to be humble in the way we approach the Godless. We need to just live a life that represents Jesus without doing it for the show of being a "good" Christian. Get out of your head and into your heart, when God is in your heart, you can do the impossible. If you think you can or you can't you're right. It's all about mindset if you believe you can you will, but if you believe you can't you won't even try. God says we're capable of overcoming everything he challenges us with so believe it.
Remember that it's God will not yours, but if God wants it for you it will happen in his timing. Pray for wounds to be healed and lifted to God to restore. You have the power to seek the highest Revival of brokenness. When God fixes your heart, he teaches it how to love like he does. Read the passages that take you through the stories of God's people and how their greatest fears were defeated. Reading the Psalms, honestly was the most healing thing I could do. These people are crying out to Jesus in pain but they could not be more overwhelmed by his grace and love. God can pick up your broken pieces and put them where he needs them to be. Also, God could be breaking you from these things because he wants more for you. God is the defender of our hearts he has saved us from the pits of despair. Remember Your story is a vessel of hope for someone else's broken pieces. There's a purpose for the pain and God is never going to drown his children in it. Lift your sorrow up to Jesus and let him fulfill you with a new song of joy! When a fragile heart finds hands, the places known by pain start to feel again. The broken pieces become beautiful in God’s hands!
Lord, I lift up the broken pieces to you, I give them to you to piece our mosaics together. Lord, I lift anyone who just feels heavy and overwhelmed with the weight of this world to you. I pray that you give them a new thirst for your love Lord. I ask that you cleanse the darkness and replace it with your light. I pray that you lift the spirit of fear that doesn't come from you and replace it with a spirit of peace. Lord, I ask that you just hold onto those who are in a rough place and just let them know you are there. AMEN!
